Congratulations to Julia Dunnit... four years of WOYWW! WOW!

I don't get to participate often. I just don't have the time to post, not even on a weekly basis. But I love to participate when I can. You are a lovely bunch out there. Thanks so much for having a look and even leaving a comment. It always makes my day.

This week I'd like to share a little baby gift that I crocheted.

I made it into a nice little package this afternoon with a nice little card attached to it.

I just love this little Penny Black hedgehog.

Still making Christmas cards!

We usually send about 40 cards and about half of them are handmade (I always start making them too late), but this year probably only close family will recieve a handmade card. All other family and friends will get a shop bought card. I only made 5 Christmas cards this year... and I doubt that I'll make the other 35 in time!

I colored the above Edwin images yesterday. I like the one with the gift, but I don't know about the other one. It looked a lot better this morning compared to yesterday, so there's still some hope left. I had to color some new images after making cards with the last two images I showed you two weeks ago.

It's a mess! 

(and you can't even see the other half of the mess that's on the floor and on top of the Ikea cabinet on the right)

But I kinda like it. It helps me to stay in my work flow. Today I made three cards from the toppers that I showed last Wednesday. It's difficult to start making cards again when you haven't done it in a while. I almost gave up after making several mistakes with the blue card but when I put it aside for a while and made another one, the creative juices started flowing and everything worked out fine.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 182

It's been a while since I participated in WOYWW, just because I haven't done a lot of papercrafting in the last couple of months. To be honest... we moved to this house in March and I don't think that I've spend ANY time in my brand new studio/craftroom since I've unpacked those boxes. I did do a lot of crochet though.

Due to the fact that I'm on pregnancy leave, I have enough time to craft. And I love it! Time is on my side now. I crocheted some christmas decorations and last monday I started to think about making some cards. Because it's the end of November and I still don't have any handmade christmas cards yet.

So, this is what my workdesk looks like.

Some copics, distress inks, cuttlebug, paper trimmer, glossy accents and stickles. Love those goodies!

These cuties will (hopefully today) be made into cards. They are older Marianne Design and Penny Black images, but I still like 'm. They work well for practising my colouring skills.

Santa and Rudolph will probably get some wobbly eyes.

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday 128

I started to crochet a scarf on Sunday and that's what's on my workdesk... or on my couch as I like to crochet while watching TLC.

The pattern is from the book Cute & Easy Crochet by Nicki Trench which I bought on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. It's a nice and chunky. I use a K hook.

It's a bird!

A crochet bird as a matter of fact. This little cutie is a pattern from the book " Babycadeautjes haken" by Annemarie Arts. " Babycadeautjes haken" is Dutch for " Crochet baby gifts". It's part of a mobile to hang above a cradle, but you can use this little bird as a good luck charm. I think it's cute.

I'm making another one that I'll give to my mother. It''s yellow with purple wings, kinda retro. It'll be hanging on a keychain with some nice ribbons.

What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday 124

Well... it's not a lot. And the picture is terrible due to the bad light. It's raining out here, the light is funny and I can't even keep my camera still so every picture looks weird.

Below is a picture of my Alex drawer unit by Ikea. It fits under my desk perfectly and when I'm crafting, I use it as extra crafting space.

My mojo was gone for quite some time. I bought some nice christmas crafting supplies, but just didn't know what to do with them. Sometimes reading a lot of blogs is killing for one's creativity. So I sticked to some crocheting for a while.

But past Sunday I coloured some nice Miss Anja. Lovely to colour. Quick and easy. And since I have to make about 50 christmas cards or so, it has to be quick and easy. Today I assembled a little scene. It's not a card yet, but I'm getting there!

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday 113

A lovely creative mess.

I like a clean desk. But I love a desk with some unfinished work on it. Love the colours of my Copics. Love taking a peek at the things that are on my desk.

My sewing machine is usually covered, but since my finace and I made some wedding decorations last weekend, it's still standing there... waiting for some more unfinished business. We're getting married on September 2nd. Very excited about that! But I digress...

What's on my desk:

My Copic collection. I'm already itching to buy some more... I hate being addicted... ;-) I also have a new crochet project. It's Joe the Cocker Spaniel. Unfortunately, I just used my last brown yarn today and I have to wait till Saturday to get some more. I guess I have to kick start my next project ( A Cameleon) because I can't wait that long without some crocheting!

I also coloured this Tilda and rocket last weekend. Love those colours together.

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.... 110

Work in progress... that's what's on my workdesk!

Looks a lot like last saturday, don't you think? Just some added bits and pieces.

I'm making an airplane for my nephew. I love to crochet. To be honest... I don't crochet behind my desk... I crochet on my couch. So I cheated a little, again.

There's also a Cheerleading Tilda... desperately waiting to be made into a card. A card which has to be ready by next saturday. What a challenge for me!

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday....

Maar dan op zaterdag.

Da's natuurlijk onwijs smokkelen, maar ik wil al twee weken een foto maken voor What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday (initiatief van Julia Dunnit van "Stamping Ground") en elke keer vergeet ik het/komt het er niet van/is het licht niet goed voor de foto.

Dus doe ik het maar gewoon een keer op zaterdag.

Tadaaaa!!!!

Zo ligt het er dus al twee weken bij op m'n bureau...

Superman Edwin heb ik twee weken geleden gekleurd toen ik net m'n nieuwe Magnolia's had ontvangen en de voetballende Edwin heb ik vorig weekend gekleurd.

Conclusie: ik knutsel te weinig....en daardoor blog ik te weinig.

Voornemen: iedere woensdag iets af hebben. (Of in iedergeval iets hebben dat het waard is om over te bloggen.) Da's toch best een uitdaging.

Door mijn nieuwe haakmanie knutsel ik minder achter m'n bureau en meer op de bank. Da's wel een stuk gezelliger voor mijn aanstaande hubby.

Tijd om aan m'n goede voornemen te werken... Cheerleading Tilda, here I come!
